RESOLUTION NO. 81

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE JAMES GORDON JR. TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DIOCESE OF IBA REPRESENTED BY MOST REV. FLORENTINO G. LAVARIAS, D.D., BISHOP, DIOCESE OF IBA; THE SOCIAL ACTION CENTER OF ZAMBALES REPRESENTED BY FR. HANIVAL BRUCELAS; THE SAN JOSE VICARIATE REPRESENTED BY REV. FR. AUDENCIO MOZO, VICAR FORANE; THE STA. RITA PARISH REPRESENTED BY REV. FR. NELSON VENCILAO; THE CITY HEALTH DEPARTMENT REPRESENTED BY OIC CITY HEALTH OFFICER, DR. ARNILDO TAMAYO; THE BARANGAY COUNCIL OF STA. RITA REPRESENTED BY BARANGAY CHAIRMAN GOMERCINDO SUNDIAM REGARDING HAPAG-ASA INTEGRATED NUTRITION PROGRAM


WHEREAS, the Diocese of Iba, through the Social Action Center of Zambales (SACZ), in partnership with San Jose Vicariate, Sta. Rita Parish and the City of Olongapo through the City Health Department and Barangay Sta. Rita launched HAPAG-ASA Integrated Nutrition Program, a supplemental feeding program for 3 to 5 year-old malnourished children at Barangay Sta. Rita, this City;

WHEREAS, the said feeding program which will cater to 50 malnourished children will commence on April 24 up to October 24, 2006;

WHEREAS, acknowledging the role of the City Government as parens patriae to its constituents by ensuring that every child is provided with adequate food and nutrition, Olongapo joins this laudable project and affirms its commitment to its cause;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor, Honorable James Gordon Jr. to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Diocese of Iba represented by Most Rev. Florentino G. Lavarias, D.D., Bishop, Diocese of Iba; the Social Action Center of Zambales represented by Fr. Hanival Brucelas; the San Jose Vicariate represented by Rev. Fr. Audencio Mozo, Vicar Forane; the Sta. Rita Parish represented by Rev. Fr. Nelson Vencilao; the City Health Department represented by OIC, City Health Officer, Dr. Arnildo Tamayo; the Barangay Council of Sta. Rita represented by Barangay Chairman Gomercindo Sundiam regarding HAPAG-ASA Integrated Nutrition Program.

Let copies of this Resolution be furnished the Diocese of Iba represented by Most Rev. Florentino G. Lavarias, D.D., Bishop, Diocese of Iba; the Social Action Center of Zambales represented by Fr. Hanival Brucelas; the San Jose Vicariate represented by Rev. Fr. Audencio Mozo, Vicar Forane; and the Sta. Rita Parish represented by Rev. Fr. Nelson Vencilao for their information and guidance.
