In the interest of public service and on motion of Councilor Bella P. Asuncion, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:


ORDINANCE NO. 01
(Series of 2007)

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (PHP200, 000.00) AS ASSISTANCE FOR THE VICTIMS OF TYPHOON “REMING” IN ALBAY


BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. The amount of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP200,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Balance of the General Fund not otherwise appropriated and the same is hereby made available to the item Donation under Maintenance & Other Operating Expenses of the Office of the City Mayor as assistance for the victims of typhoon “Reming” in Albay.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

SECTION 3. The pertinent letter-request of the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr., dated 29 December 2006 and a Certificate of Availability of Funds dated January 3, 2007 issued by Mr. Marcelino C. Andawi, City Treasurer are hereby made as integral parts of this Ordinance
