A RESOLUTION DECLARING SUPPORT OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT TO THE OLONGAPO CITY WOMEN’S COUNCIL IN ITS CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY OF THIS YEAR


WHEREAS, the Olongapo City Women’s Council is a group organized in accordance with R.A. 7192 entitled “An Act Promoting the Integration of Women as Full and Equal Partners of Men in Development and Nation Building and For Other Purposes”;

WHEREAS, its goal is to integrate gender perspectives to achieve sustainable development and policies, to strengthen women’s role in the decision making, to recognize the numerous capabilities of women and their incredible task in the mainstream of the society breaking barriers nationally and internationally;

WHEREAS, this March, the Women’s Council will celebrate the International Women’s Day/Month, with prepared activities and free services especially for women;

WHEREAS, the City Government of Olongapo has always been supportive to all activities of the Women’s Council;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Bella P. Asuncion, with the unanimous accord of the Members of Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to declare, as it hereby declares support of the City Government to the Olongapo City Women’s Council in its celebration of Intenational Women’s Day of this Year.

ORDINANCE NO. 02

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED FORTY FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY PESOS (PHP244,580.00) TO THE ITEM REPAIR & MAINTENANCE – MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER THE MAINTENANCE & OTHER OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION & MANAGEMENT OFFICE


BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. The amount of Two Hundred Forty Four Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Pesos (PhP244,580.00) is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Balance of the General Fund not otherwise appropriated and the same is hereby made available to the item Repair & Maintenance – Motor Vehicle under the Maintenance & Other Operating Expenses of the Environmental Sanitation & Management Office for the painting of garbage trucks acquired by the city in year 2005.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

The amount of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP200,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Balance of the General Fund not otherwise appropriated and the same is hereby made available to the item Donation under Maintenance & Other Operating Expenses of the Office of the City Mayor as assistance for the victims of typhoon “Reming” in Albay.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

SECTION 3. The pertinent letter-request of the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr., dated 29 December 2006 and a Certificate of Availability of Funds dated January 3, 2007 issued by Mr. Marcelino C. Andawi, City Treasurer are hereby made as integral parts of this Ordinance
