A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY AND CONDOLENCES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF MRS. SEVERINA ESTEBAN GREGORIO

WHEREAS, Mrs. Severina Esteban Gregorio, mother of City Vice-Mayor, Hon. Cynthia G. Cajudo, peacefully joined her Creator on January 27, 2008 reaching the full age of 90;

WHEREAS, Mrs. Gregorio did not only live a fulfilled and productive life, but she was brimming with talents, gifts, value-laden principles and love to share lavishly for her family, relatives, friends, church and community. As such, she spent a lifetime of service and led many by her example of stewardship. She served as the Treasurer of the church for decades, a position she held until she was able;

WHEREAS, “Bening” was known to be a “jack of all trades” who had mastered all. She was a great cook, a posh dressmaker, a classy beautician and learned skills that men do, like repairs, plumbing and simple carpentry that once she was called “Berto”. Though she wore many hats, she was focused on rearing her children to be the best that they can be. One of her finest offerings to the community was to raise up a Vice-mayor and a leader, a privilege that she kept in her heart. She was blessed to witness and reap the fruits of motherhood through the lives and accomplishments of her children, yet she gave back to her Lord and Savior the glory and honor due to Him through her unwavering faith and ministry to the church;

WHEREAS, her family and grandchildren call doting “Lola Bening” as a mother of faith for her exceptional grace, unshaken by any adversity. For this legacy to follow upon, their hearts are drawn to discover the Ultimate Source of her strength of character;

WHEREAS, her family, friends and churchmates recall of her endearing presence and her nourishing thoughtfulness, which they will surely miss. Though she will be absent in the body, her memory will linger to encourage them;

WHEREAS, the City shares in the grief of the bereaved family of Mrs. Severina Esteban Gregorio for having lost the beacon of their family;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to express, as it hereby expresses profound sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family of Mrs. Severina Esteban Gregorio.

Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished the bereaved family of Mrs. Severina Esteban Gregorio.
