A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO SIGN AND ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF OLONGAPO AND ANGELES UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION REPRESENTED BY ITS PRESIDENT DR. RICARDO P. PAMA FOR THE UNITED NATIONS FUND FOR POPULATION ACTIVITIES (UNFPA) SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPACT OF LOCAL INTRA-MIGRATION PROJECT

WHEREAS, the United Nations Fund For Population Activities (UNFPA), is an international development agency that promotes the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity and supports countries in using population data for policies and programmes;

WHEREAS, the UNFPA and the City Government of Olongapo entered into collaborative work for the implementation of UNFPA 6th Country Programme-Population and Development Strategies, Reproductive Health and Gender Development;

WHEREAS, the Angeles University Foundation a non-stock, non-profit educational institution thru their Center for Research and Development expresses their interest to conduct a study on Socio-Economic Impact of Local Intra-migration;

WHEREAS, the said University is capable of conducting such research as evident to their successful data gathering for the Asian Institute of Management search for most competitive cities;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Edwin J. Piano, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;


RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor James Gordon, Jr., to sign and enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by and between the City Government of Olongapo and the Angeles University Foundation represented by its President Dr. Ricardo P. Pama for the United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) Socio-Economic Impact of Local Intra-Migration Project.
