WHEREAS, Section 287 of Republic Act No. 7160 and Article 383(b) of its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) direct local government units to set aside no less than 20% of their Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) to fund development projects as identified in the local government unit’s development funds;

WHEREAS, further the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Joint Circulars No. 1 Series of 2005 prescribes the specific use of the 20% Development Fund;

WHEREAS, the Local Development Council of Olongapo City had convened on December 7, 2009 and formulated specific development projects in consonance with the prescribed development projects stated in the DBM-DILG JMC No.1;

WHEREAS, the projects identified to be funded under the 20% Development Fund are deemed vital to the achievement of the city’s immediate goals and strategic development thrust;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Edwin J. Piano on behalf of the majority party with the majority decision the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to enact the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED UNDER THE 20% DEVELOPMENT FUND OF THE 2010 INTERNAL REVENUE ALLOTMENT OF CITY GOVERNMENT OF OLONGAPO

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:
