A RESOLUTION COMMENDING EDUCATION PROGRAM SUPERVISOR FOR MATHEMATICS DR. ROGER L. NUQUI  ED. D., FOR HIS CONTINUOUS SUPPORT AND CONTRIBUTION TO THE OLONGAPO CITY STUDENT DELEGATION TO THE VARIOUS 2015 INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICS COMPETITIONS

WHEREAS, the Department of Education (DepEd) – Olongapo City gave their all-out support for the different phases of trainings and preparations of the Olongapo City student delegation for the various 2015 international mathematics competitions such as but not limited to:

·         2015 Singapore International Mathematical Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC)

·         2015 International Mathematics Wizard Challenge (IMWIC), Hongkong, August 9-12, 2015

·         2015 World Mathematical Invitation, China, August 8-12, 2015

·         2015 International Mathematics Competition, Singapore, July 31- August 3, 2015

·         2015 China Primary Mathematics Olympiad, July 27- July 31, 2015

WHEREAS, Dr. Roger L. Nuqui Ed. D., the Education Program Supervisor for Mathematics as part of the Dep-Ed Olongapo City, extended all available resources and explored various possible means to ensure that trainings afforded to the student delegation are maximized;

WHEREAS, the Dep-Ed Olongapo City delegates garnered one (1) gold medal, four (4) silver medals, ten (10) bronze medals and eight (8) merit awards in the five international Math competitions;

WHEREAS, the dedication and worthy initiative of Dr. Nuqui of helping students of international caliber deserves to be commended such great effort brought honor and prestige to the City of Olongapo;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Benjamin G. Cajudo II, with the unanimous accord of the Member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commend as it hereby commends  Education Program Supervisor for Mathematics Dr. Roger L. Nuqui Ed. D., for his continuous support and contribution to the Olongapo City Student Delegation to the various 2015 International Mathematics Competitions.
