A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING AND RECOGNIZING THE HOTEL AND RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT –CENTRAL LUZON COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (CELTECH) TEAM  WINNING VARIOUS AWARDS IN THE PHILIPPINE CULINARY CUP 2015 LAST AUGUST 5-8, 2015 IN SMX CONVENTION CENTER, PASAY CITY

WHEREAS, The Philippine Culinary Cup is the only culinary competition endorsed by the World Association of Chef Society (WACS), Les Toques Blanches (LTB) Chef Association of the Philippines and Young Chef Club Philippines;

WHEREAS, during last year’s Philippine Culinary Cup 2014, two students from the Hotel and Restaurant Management Young Chef Zorren Boy Monsalud Leonardo from Barangay Barretto won a bronze medal award in the category of Meat Livestock Australia (MLA) Young Chef Challenge, while Young Chef Ulyssa Visda from Barangay Kalaklan on the other hand won the Bronze Medal Award in the category of Quick Fire Salad, both are students of Hotel and Restaurant Management in CELTECH representing Olongapo City;

WHEREAS, Young Chef Zorren Boy Monsalud Leonardo was chosen to represent the Philippines in the upcoming MLA Young Chef Challenge Finals scheduled to take place in Singapore later this year;

WHEREAS, this year, the Philippine Culinary Cup 2015 held last August 5 to 8, at the SMX Convention Center, the team, again from the Hotel and Restaurant Management Department of CELTECH College competed against 75 other Young Professional and Student Chefs in the Philippines and power house teams from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, South Korea, Macau and Hong Kong, and won the bronze medal award in the category of Young Chef Team Challenge. The team this time was composed of Young Chef Ulyssa Visda and Young Chef Vermar Macapagal from Barangay Old Cabalan.

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Benjamin G. Cajudo II, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to congratulate and recognize  as it hereby congratulates and recognizes the Hotel And Restaurant Management –Central Luzon College Of Science And Technology (CELTECH) Team  Winning Various Awards in the Philippine Culinary Cup 2015 last August 5-8, 2015 in SMX Convention Center, Pasay City

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our appreciation to their coach Chef Renan Roque, Culinary and College of Travel Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTTHM) Coordinator of CELTECH College, for his tutelage of this fine group of students.
