RESOLUTION NO. 04
(Series of 2007)

A RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF BARANGAY COUNCILWOMAN AIDA ROSAS OF BARANGAY OLD CABALAN AND RECOGNIZING HER INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CITY OF OLONGAPO

WHEREAS, Barangay Councilwoman Aida Angeles Rosas of Barangay Old Cabalan passed away to be with her creator on December 31, 2006 at the age of 64;

WHEREAS, Kagawad Rosas rendered her untarnished service in the barangay for thirty-eight (38) long years starting as a Damayan Leader during the martial law era. She rose from the ranks as an appointed Purok Leader and an active member of the Lupong Tagapamayapa before her successful run as a Barangay Councilwoman, the position she held for twelve (12) years;

WHEREAS, a dynamic barangay official, Kagawad Rosas headed the Committee on Finance and served actively as a member of the Balikatan Ladies and the Catholic Women’s League. Family and friends recall of her concern and efforts for sharing her services unselfishly as a volunteer hospital worker at the then Olongapo City General Hospital;

WHEREAS, a loving and caring wife and mother that she is, Mrs. Rosas will be missed by her family, who is, likewise, proud of her community involvement and accomplishment;

WHEREAS, the City Government of Olongapo joins the Rosas Family for the loss of Barangay Kagawad Aida A. Rosas and prays that God’s comfort will anchor them in this moment of grief;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to express, as it hereby expresses condolence to the bereaved family of Barangay Councilwoman Aida A. Rosas of Barangay Old Cabalan and recognizes her invaluable contributions to the City of Olongapo.
