RESOLUTION NO. 148

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (DOST) – REGION III REPRESENTED BY CONRADO J. OLIVEROS, REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR THE UPGRADING OF THE LIBRARY AND PACKAGING CAPABILITY OF THE LIVELIHOOD AND COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT OFFICE

WHEREAS, the City Government of Olongapo in its thrust to improve the quality of life of its constituents by providing technical and marketing support to would-be entrepreneurs in the City of Olongapo, requested the DOST for “Gabay sa Negosyo” Materials, Vacuum Sealer and Horizontal Band Sealer;

WHEREAS, the DOST-III has committed to assist the City Government of Olongapo in its modernization efforts through its 2008 Regional Grants-In-Aid Program and agreed to jointly undertake the project on Upgrading of the Library and Packaging Capability of the Livelihood and Cooperative Office;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon Jr. to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) – Region III represented by Conrado J. Oliveros, Regional Director for the Upgrading of the Library and Packaging Capability of the Livelihood and Cooperative Development Office.
