A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DILG) CITY DIRECTOR TO IMPLEMENT ALL DECISIONS OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD REGARDING BARANGAY SUSPENSIONS, ETC.

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod is vested with authority to receive, investigate and decide cases against elective officials whose decisions shall be made final and executory as provided under the Local Government Code of 1991 Section 61 (c);

WHEREAS, the Department of the Interior and Local Government has a delegated authority of general supervision on all elective officials including the Barangay;

WHEREAS, the Legislative Body finds it proper to authorize the DILG City Director as the implementing arm of all the administrative decisions relative to erring barangay elective officials as it has the general supervision on the same;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of the City Councilor Edwin J. Piano with the unanimous accord of the members of Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) City Director to Implement All Decisions of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Regarding Barangay Suspensions, Etc.
