A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING BARANGAY CAPTAINS TO PROVIDE FUND ASSISTANCE TO COMMUNITY HEALTH TEAM (CHT) VOLUNTEER IN THE BARANGAY TO DEFRAY EXPENSES IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR ASSIGNED TASKS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the Universal Health Care is part of the Aquino Health Agenda which aims to ensure the achievement of health systems goals of better health outcomes, sustained health financing and responsive health system, as well as provide equitable access to affordable health care for the disadvantaged groups;

WHEREAS, in order to implement this program the services of Community Health Team (CHT)volunteers of the Barangays who will perform the tasks to include training ang CHT mobilization is deemed indispensable;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Edna A. Elane, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to encourage, as it is hereby encourages, the Barangay Captains to provide financial assistance to community health team (CHT) volunteer in the barangay to defray expenses in the performance of their assigned tasks in the implementation of the Universal Health Care Program in a manner consistent with law.
