RESOLUTION NO. 83
(Series of 2006)

A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION TO THE VOLUNTEERS WHO SERVED IN THE 2006 OPLAN SUMVAC


WHEREAS, Olongapo City, with the pristine waters of Subic Bay is considered as one of the tourist destinations in the country;

WHEREAS, the City Government, recognizes the importance of tourism as one of major industries that will boost the local economy because of the expected influx of tourists that will flock in the area to spend their Holy Week and cool off the hot summer season;

WHEREAS, the city government thru City Disaster Management Office, created a task force dubbed as “Oplan Sumvac 2006” that will assist motorists and tourists in their vacation in Olongapo City and Subic Bay area;

WHEREAS, concerned Non-Governmental Organizations lend their time and efforts to assist the city government in giving public service especially in this time of the year;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Edwin J. Piano with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HERREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commend, as it hereby commends the Volunteers who served in the 2006 Oplan Sumvac.
