RESOLUTION NO. 146
(Series of 2006)

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF BARANGAY PAG-ASA TO OPERATE A MINI FAIR WITHIN THEIR JURISDICTION SUBJECT TO THE PRESCRIBED GUIDELINES OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD


WHEREAS, carnivals and mini-fairs established in conjunction with fiestas are good income generating means to fund projects of good causes;

WHEREAS, Barangay Pag-asa requested through Barangay Resolution No. 019, Series of 2006, permission to operate a mini-fair/night market in the said Barangay in connection with the celebration and observance of the feast of their Patron Saint San Lorenzo Ruiz, to raise funds as well as to attract tourists;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod hereby grants the request of Barangay Pag-asa with the condition that the operation of a mini fair from August to October 2006 shall be in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 49, Series of 2005 and upon compliance with the recommendations set by the same;

NOW, THEREFORE, upon the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to approve, as it hereby approves the request of Barangay Pag-asa to operate a Mini Fair within their jurisdiction subject to the prescribed

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of the Sangguniang Panlungsod recommendations regarding the request and that items no. 1 to 4 thereof shall form part of this Resolution.

RESOLVED FINALLY, AS IT IS HEREBY FINALLY RESOLVED, that a financial statement be submitted to the Sangguniang Panlungsod after the event.
