WHEREAS, the City owes forty one (41) consultants under the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital consultancy fees for services rendered;

WHEREAS, the said services cover September 01 to December 31, 2007;

WHEREAS, the fees were not settled in the apposite year due to the year-end closure of accounting books;

WHEREAS, this commitment calls for an urgent passage of an ordinance authorizing the payment for such;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Angelito W. Baloy, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CHARGING OF PAYMENT AMOUNTING TO FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY EIGHT THOUSAND PESOS (PHP438,000.00) AS HONORARIUM PAYMENT TO FORTY ONE (41) CONSULTANTS UNDER THE JAMES L. GORDON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL 2008 BUDGET FOR THE PERIOD SEPTEMBER 01 TO DECEMBER 31, 2007 TO THE ITEM CONSULTANCY FEES UNDER MAINTENANCE AND OTHER OPERATING EXPENSES OF JAMES L. GORDON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL


BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1. The amount of Four Hundred Thirty Eight Thousand Pesos (PhP438,000.00) for the payment of honorarium to forty one (41) consultants under the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital is hereby charged to the 2008 Budget of the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital to the item Consultancy Fees under Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

SECTION 3. The pertinent letter-request of the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr., dated August 01, 2008 and List of Consultants with the corresponding payment entitled to each be made as integral parts of this Ordinance.
