A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE 306TH COMMUNITY DEFENSE CENTER, 3RD REGIONAL COMMUNITY DEFENSE GROUP, ARMY RESERVE COMMAND, REPRESENTED BY ITS COMMANDING OFFICER LIEUTENANT COLONEL (LTC) MAXIMIANO GOMEZ AND THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF OLONGAPO, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE GORDON COLLEGE, REPRESENTED BY THE CITY MAYOR HON. JAMES GORDON, JR. WITH REGARDS
TO NSTP-ROTC PROGRAM


WHEREAS, the City believes in the capacity of the National Service Training Program-Reserved Officers Training Core (NSTP-ROTC) in promoting and integrating values education, transformational leadership, spirit of patriotism and nationalism. A sustainable social mobilization for youth development, NSTP-ROTC fosters community building that strengthens national security;

WHEREAS, having such training administered by the 306th Community Defense Center, 3rd Regional Community Defense Group, Army Reserve Command to the freshmen students of the Gordon College who are willing to enroll in the NSTP-ROTC program, the City is confident that the aforesaid positive values will be best imparted to the said students;

WHEREAS, the ratification of the Memorandum of Agreement between the City and the 306th Community Defense Center, 3rd Regional Community Defense Group, Army Reserve Command will pave way for the smooth implementation of the same at the Gordon College;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Rodel S. Cerezo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to, ratify as it hereby ratifies the Memorandum of Agreement entered into by and between the 306th Community Defense Center, 3rd Regional Community Defense Group, Army Reserve Command, represented by its Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Maximiano Gomez and the City Government of Olongapo, for and in behalf of the Gordon College, represented by the City Mayor Hon. James Gordon, Jr. with regards to NSTP-ROTC Program.

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of the said signed Memorandum of Agreement be an integral part of this Resolution.

Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished (LTC) Maximiano Gomez, Commanding Officer of the 306th Community Defense Center, 3rd Regional Community Defense Group, Army Reserve Command, for his information and record.
