RESOLUTION NO. 16

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HON. CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO ENTER, EXECUTE AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE REGION 3 FOR THE GRANT OF FUND ASSISTANCE TO THE CITY IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, the DSWD has a SEA – KAUNLARAN PROGRAM (Grameen Scheme) prioritizing the Pantawid Family beneficiaries by reason of which it shall convey a grant of P500,000.00 as fund support of the city’s social amelioration initiatives;

WHEREAS, there is a need for extended support services for the underprivileged sectors for which the fund grant could be utilized;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Elena C. Dabu, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it is hereby authorizes the Hon. City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter, execute and sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office Region 3 for the grant of fund assistance to the city in a manner consistent with law.
