A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE DAY CARE WORKERS OF OLONGAPO CITY FOR RECEIVING THE HIGHEST RANK ON THE REGIONAL DAY CARE WORKERS AND DAY CARE CENTER ACCREDITATION

WHEREAS, Department of Social Welfare and Development – Field Office III Regional Director Gemma B. Gabuya informed thru a letter addressed to the City Mayor Hon. Rolen C. Paulino the status of the City’s Day Care Workers and Day Care Center Accreditation with active certificate as of July 30, 2015 in Region III;

           

WHEREAS, out of the fourteen (14) cities in seven (7) provinces in Region III, Olongapo City ranked number one with 100% total accredited and total number of Day Care Workers and 101.86% total accredited and total number of Day Care Centers;

WHEREAS, the performance of the Day Care Service in Olongapo City is a manifestation that it gives the quality standards of service delivery for the pre-school children which in effect will ready the children for the formal schooling, thus deserves to be commended;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Edna A. Elane and City Councilor Elena C. Dabu, with the unanimous accord of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commend and congratulate, as it hereby commends and congratulates the Day Care Workers of Olongapo City for receiving the highest rank on the Regional Day Care Workers and Day Care Center Accreditation.

GABUYA AS REGARDS TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUPPLEMENTAL FEEDING PROGRAM AND OTHER PROJECTS TO ACCOMPLISH THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS IN THE CITY OF OLONGAPO

WHEREAS,  to accomplish the country’s development plans for inclusive growth, poverty reduction, eradicate hunger and other challenges affecting the young populace, Olongapo City deems that a partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office III is absolutely necessary;

WHEREAS, such initiative will pave way for their implementation to address the needs of our citizens, particularly indigent families and spur significant growth in the City;

WHEREAS, the said programs include Supplementary Feeding Program and other support programs and services spearheaded by the DSWD;

NOW, THEREFORE, on the motion of City Councilor Edna A. Elane, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the SangguniangPanlungsod in session assembled to authorize as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor, Honorable  Rolen C. Paulino to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field  Office  III,   represented  by  its   Regional  Director,  Gemma  D. Gabuya   as  regards   to  the

implementation of Supplemental Feeding Program and other projects to accomplish the Millennium Development Goals in the City of Olongapo.

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GORDON COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION NO. 9, SERIES OF 2015 ENTITLED: “A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROPOSED MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN GORDON COLLEGE AND THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, DIVISION OF CITY SCHOOLS, OLONGAPO CITY FOR USE OF FACILITIES IN THE OLONGAPO CITY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL (OCNHS)”

WHEREAS, the Gordon College is lack of classrooms to be used by the students for the Academic Year 2015-2016;

WHEREAS, Gordon College will enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Education, Division of City Schools, Olongapo City to allow them to use twenty four (24) classrooms at the Olongapo City National High School with conditions stated in the MOA;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod deems it proper that Resolution No. 9, Series of 2015 endorsed by Gordon College Board of Trustees approved on January 13, 2015 pursuant to City Resolution No. 70, Series of 2012 is necessary for adoption;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Benjamin G. Cajudo II co-sponsored by City Councilor Edna A. Elane, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to adopt, as it hereby adopts the Gordon College Board of Trustees Resolution No. 9, Series Of 2015 entitled: “A Resolution Approving The Proposed Memorandum Of Agreement Between Gordon College And The Department Of Education, Division Of City Schools, Olongapo City For Use Of Facilities In The Olongapo City National High School (OCNHS)”.

WHEREAS, Dr. Gerald S. Bernal was accepted to be one of the Members of Gordon College–Board of Trustees in replacement to the vacant position of the late BOT Member Dr. Restituto Acosta;
