A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE ATHLETES WHO GAVE PRIDE AND HONOR TO THE CITY BY ACHIEVING MEDALS AND PLACES IN VARIOUS CATEGORIES IN THE RECENT PALARONG PAMBANSA LAST MAY 7-13, 2006 HELD AT NAGA CITY


WHEREAS, the following Olongapeño athletes have achieved various ranks in several categories in the May 7-13 Palarong Pambansa held at Naga City of this year:

WHEREAS, the following athletes have reached their places by training extensively and observing discipline as part of their preparation for the said event;

WHEREAS, the City is very proud of the aforesaid athletes who proved that Olongapo excels in the field of sports and exemplifies the city slogan – “Olongapo: Fighting For Excellence!”;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Marey Beth Marzan, with the unanimous accord of the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to commend and congratulate, as it hereby commends and congratulates the athletes who gave pride and honor to the City by achieving medals and places in various categories in the recent Palarong Pambansa last May 7-13, 2006 held at Naga City.
