RESOLUTION NO. 87
(Series of 2006)

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LIVELIHOOD CAPITAL ASSISTANCE PROJECT


WHEREAS, the country is faced with economic problems due to unemployment and lack of opportunities for the people to earn a modest living to support a family;

WHEREAS, Micro-Small-Medium Enterprise (MSME) Development is one of the 10-Point Program of Olongapo City Mayor James Gordon, Jr.;

WHEREAS, the initial action in order to pursue his agenda is to establish the Livelihood and Cooperative Development Office (LCDO) in year 2004;

WHEREAS, the establishment of LCDO aims to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among Olongapo constituents and the said aforementioned office is the proponent of the Livelihood Capital Assistance Project;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,


RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to approve, as it hereby approves the Livelihood Capital Assistance Project.
