A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GORDON COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION NO. 17, SERIES OF 2011, “A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE PROPOSED

ADJUSTED RATE FOR CONTRACT OF SERVICE FACULTY MEMBERS”

WHEREAS, City Council Ordinance No. 10, Series of 2007, entitled: “An Ordinance Amending Article IV of Ordinance No. 36, Series of 2004 entitled “An Ordinance Adopting the Revisions on the Legal Basis for the Creation and Operation of the Olongapo City Colleges now named as Gordon College” and Ordinance No. 08, Series of 2010 entitled: “An Ordinance Amending the Legal Basis on the Creation and Operation of Gordon College,” defined the powers and functions of the Board and Trustees of the school;

WHEREAS, the City places a premium not only on the welfare of the students of Gordon College but also the welfare of Gordon College faculty and staff through augmentation of their compensation income to enable them to pursue professional development;

WHEREAS, the Gordon College Board of Trustees passed Resolution No. 17, Series of 2011 endorsing the proposed adjusted rate for contract of service faculty members;

WHEREAS, the adjusted rate shall effect commencing on the second semester or on November 2012 onwards unless otherwise provided under subsequent legislative enactments;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Eyrma Yvette Marzan-Estrella, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to adopt, as  it is hereby adopts the Gordon College Board of Trustees Resolution No. 17, Series of 2011, “A Resolution Endorsing the Proposed Adjusted Rate for Contract of Service Faculty Members.”

RESOLVED, FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of the Gordon College Board of Trustees Resolution No. 17, Series of 2011be made as an integral part of this Resolution.
