A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE ROLEN C. PAULINO,  TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN THE SUPPLEMENTAL MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE  JAMES L.GORDON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH – CENTER FOR HEALTH DEVELOPMENT 3 REPRESENTED BY DR. LEONITA P. GORGOLON, REGIONAL DIRECTOR,  REGARDING THE PROVISION OF ASSISTANCE FOR INDIGENT PATIENTS THROUGH THE MEDICAL HEALTH CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM(MHCAP)

            WHEREAS,  the Medical Health Care Assistance Program(MHCAP), under the Department of  Health, aims to provide assistance to indigent patients admitted in government health facilities;

            WHEREAS, the status of the implementation of the said program in Olongapo City  has been received from the DOH Regional Office 3, which confirms the allocation of  additional funding/budget  for indigent patients seeking assistance for their consultation or admission to the City-run hospital in the  amount of Two Million Eight Hundred Eighty Five Thousand Pesos ( Php2,885, 000.00);

 

            WHEREAS,  to ensure a more effective and efficient system for managing and monitoring the MHCAP and a regular replenishment process for fund allocation to DOH-RO III and reimbursement  process for LGU - managed hospitals, a supplemental memorandum of agreement is in order;

            NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Eduardo G. Guerrero, with the unanimous accord of the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

  

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor, Honorable  Rolen C. Paulino, to enter into and sign the Supplemental Memorandum of Agreement, for and on behalf of the  James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital with the Department of Health – Center for Health Development 3 represented by Dr. Leonita P. Gorgolon, Regional Director, regarding the provision of  assistance for indigent patients through the Medical Health Care Assistance Program (MHCAP).
