A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR HON. JAMES GORDON JR., TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT OF AGREEMENT WITH THE QUALIFIED WINNING BIDDER FOR THE LEASE OF 52.8 SQ M. SPACE INSIDE GORDON COLLEGE FOR THE OPERATION OF A CANTEEN

WHEREAS, Gordon College, a special department created by City Ordinance No. 9, Series of 1999 falls under the economic services in the Local City Budget;

WHEREAS, the fees and other charges collected by the said department is limited by the City’s vision to provide quality education at affordable cost;

WHEREAS, as one of the economic services they are expected to share in the cash inflow of the City, however as a community college, it should not be too onerous to the students and their guardians as well;

WHEREAS, taking the preceding statements into considerations the Administration of the Gordon College together with its Board of Trustees decided to maximize the space to augment its income by leasing the available space as canteen to interested parties;

WHEREAS, the Contract of Agreement shall contain the area of the canteen to be used inside Gordon College (52.8 sq.m.);

WHEREAS, the contract price shall not go below the floor price assessed by the Local Appraisal Committee;

NOW, THEREFORE, on joint motion of Councilors Marey Beth D. Marzan, Edwin J. Piano and Angelito W. Baloy, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor to enter into a Contract Of Agreement with the qualified/winning bidder for the lease of 52.8 sq m. space inside Gordon College for the operation of a canteen.
