A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HON. CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON JR. TO ENTER, EXECUTE AND SIGN THE LETTER OF UNDERTAKING / PERFORMANCE COMMITMENT FOR PRIMARY CARE BENEFIT 1 (PCB 1) AS REQUIRED FOR THE RENEWAL OF THE PHIL-HEALTH ACCREDITATION ON PRIMARY CARE BENEFIT PACKAGE FOR HEALTH FACILITIES, IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW.

 WHEREAS, there is a need to ensure the continuous provision of Primary Care Benefit Package for Health Facilities in Barangays as provided for by the Philippine Health Insurance (Phil-Health) for the people of Olongapo City;

WHEREAS, to secure the accreditation of Phil-Health for all seventeen (17) Barangay Health Centers in Olongapo City, Philippines, there is a need for the City to again formalize and renew its commitment through the signing of a Letter of Undertaking / Performance Care Benefit I with the Phil-Health;

WHEREAS, the Letter of Undertaking / Performance Care Benefit I with the Phil-Health shall solidify the City’s commitment to the Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2003 (R.A. 9257), and Breastfeeding Act (R.A. 7600), the Newborn Screening Act (R.A. 9288), the Cheaper Medicines Act (R.A. 9502), the Pharmacy Law (R.A. 5921), the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons (R.A. 9442) as relevant in the operation of the City’s Health Care Centers as an Institutional HealthCare Provider;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Edna A. Elane, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to Enter, Execute and Sign the Letter of Undertaking / Performance Commitment for Primary Care Benefit I (PCB 1) as required for the renewal of the Phil-Health Accreditation on Primary Care Benefit Package Facilities, in a manner consistent with law.
