A RESOLUTION DECLARING MS. ANGELLE CLAUDETT DELOS REYES

 AS THE BEAUTY ICON OF OLONGAPO CITY

WHEREAS, Ms. Angelle Claudett Delos Reyes, a Registered Nurse and resident of Barangay New Cabalan, was crowned as Bb. Zambales in 2007 and went on to represent the City of Olongapo in the prestigious Mutya ng Pilipinas beauty pageant were she was chosen as one of the top 15 finalists;

WHEREAS, buoyed by her impressive stint in the Bb. Zambales 2007 pageant, she became the overwhelming favorite and emerged as the grand winner in the first ever Bb. Olongapo 2008, thereby earning the right to be the official representative of the City of Olongapo to the Miss Philippines – Earth 2009 beauty pageant where she was adjudged as Best in Talent;

WHEREAS, in 2011, she bested twenty six (26) candidates from across the country to win Ms. Slimmers World-Bikini Philippines and successfully represented the country in the  Ms. Bikini International in Qingdao, China, where she was chosen as one of the Top 10 Semi- Finalists and declared as Miss Internet Popularity, after garnering the largest number of online votes;

WHEREAS, gifted with classic Filipina beauty, outstanding personality and charisma, unrivalled wit and intelligence, coupled with a steely determination and confidence, she joined the search for Bb. Pilipinas 2012 and was among the Top 10 Finalists chosen from an impressive roster of candidates and judged Best in Long Gown, besting 39 other candidates.  Thereafter, she represented the country in the Supermodel International 2012 held in Bangkok, Thailand, were she won Best in National Costume and earned the Continental Queen of Asia Pacific award;  

 WHEREAS, with her remarkable experience, and surging momentum from previous pageant victories, Ms. Delos Reyes joined the prestigious Ms. Philippines-Earth 2013 beauty pageant where she won a total of 12 minor awards and citations, including Beauty for a Cause and Best in Swimsuit among others, ultimately culminating in her storied proclamation as the Grand Winner and the Philippines official representative to the 13^th edition of the Miss Earth in November 2013; 

WHEREAS, Ms. Angelle Claudett Delos Reyes, an accomplished young woman and proud Olongapeña who exemplifies all the great features of a modern day Filipina, has brought pride and honor to the City of Olongapo by virtue of the multiple titles she won throughout her long and illustrious career. Likewise, she continues to serve as a model and inspiration to all the young women and aspiring beauty queens of the city, thus, deserving of the distinction as Olongapo City’s definitive Icon of Beauty;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to declare as it hereby declares, Ms. Angelle Claudett Delos Reyes as the Beauty Icon of Olongapo City.
