A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO SIGN THE DEED OF DONATION WITH ACCEPTANCE OF THE DONATED THREE EXECUTIVE DESKS AND THREE CLERICAL TABLES FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT, IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, the Provincial Office of the Department of Labor and Employment coordinate with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Olongapo City for the donation of executive desks and clerical tables which are subject of disposition;

WHEREAS, the provision of tables and desks, and the conduct of scheduled visit to bring services of the Overseas Welfare Administration, the National Conciliation and Mediation Board and the Department of Foreign Affairs closer to the local community could augment the on-going initiative of PESO as regards to the official authority from their respective heads of office on their schedules and program of activities;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Eduardo J. Piano, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

 RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes, the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to sign the Deed of Donation with acceptance of the donated three executive desks and three clerical tables from the Department of Labor and Employment, in a manner consistent with law.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO ENTER, EXECUTE AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE OFFICE OF SENATOR ANTONIO TRILLANES IV FOR THE CITY TO RECEIVE AN APPROPRIATION OF FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (PHP500, 000.00) AS MEDICAL ASSISTANCE ALLOCATION FOR INDIGENT PATIENTS AT THE JAMES L. GORDON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, health assistance to indigent patients is a priority of the city as the same is included in its projects and programs;

WHEREAS, through the city’s efforts, coordination was made with the Office of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, which resulted in the appropriation by the said office of five hundred thousand pesos                      (PhP500, 000.00) as fund assistance allocation for indigent patients at the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital, with its beneficiaries to be sourced from the local community as designated by the Office of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV;

WHEREAS, the fund assistance will greatly assist and augment the city’s health services especially to the marginalized and underprivileged;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Edna A. Elane, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

 RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes, the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter, execute and sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the office of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV for the city to receive an appropriation of Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP500, 000.00) as medical assistance allocation for indigent patients at the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital, in a manner consistent with law.

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MS. FERLYN RAMOS FLORES FOR GARNERING THE 9^TH PLACE IN THE NOVEMBER 2012 MIDWIFERY LICENSURE EXAMINATION

WHEREAS, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 1,732 out of 3,481 passed the Midwifery Licensure Examination given by the Board of Midwifery in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga in November 2012; where Gordon College-School of Midwifery got an 83.33% overall passing rate;

WHEREAS, out of the 1,732 passers nationwide, Ms. Ferlyn Ramos Flores, a graduate of Gordon College, garnered an outstanding 86.80% rating, earning her the 9^th highest place among all the successful takers;

WHEREAS, this achievement of Ms. Flores extends the honor to the city as this proves an attainment in the city’s goal to produce competent professionals with the uplifting of the quality of education;

WHEREAS, Ms. Flores’ exceptional accomplishment is worth emulating by the youth of the city, as she serves as a role model for academic excellence;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commends, as it hereby commends, Ms. Ferlyn Ramos Flores for garnering the 9^th place in the November 2012 Midwifery Licensure Examination.

Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished to Ms. Ferlyn Ramos Flores for her records and reference.
