RESOLUTION NO. 62

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE ROLEN C. PAULINO, CITY MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN THE SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH

R-II BUILDERS, INC. IN JOINT VENTURE WITH PHILIPPINE ECOLOGY SYSTEMS CORPORATION RELATIVE TO THE DESIGN AND BUILD PROGRAM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE SANITARY LANDFILL

            WHEREAS, on January 19, 2012, the City entered into a Design and Build Agreement for the Sanitary Landfill with the R-II Builders, Inc. in joint venture with the Philippine Ecology System Corporation.  However, works had been suspended due to a trash fire that time, followed by a trash slide caused by Typhoon Pedring a few months later, which prohibited the said contractor to commence with the work plan;

            WHEREAS, after assessment on the differences on some data due to the current site condition, changes in the topography brought about by the said fortuitous events, and additional waste materials as well as the evaluation of the submitted and approved final design plans, additional works and other requirements, the City Government deems that the supplemental agreement with the said contractor is in order;

            NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Alreuela M. Bundang-Ortiz, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes Honorable Rolen C. Paulino, City Mayor to enter into and sign the Supplemental Agreement with R-II Builders, Inc. in joint venture with Philippine Ecology System Corporation relative to the Design and Build Program for the development and construction of the Sanitary Landfill.
