A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF BARANGAY WEST TAPINAC FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2012 IN THE AMOUNT OF FOUR MILLION THIRTY THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SIXTY TWO PESOS AND 10/100 (PHP4,030,162.10) OPERATIVE IN ITS ENTIRETY

In the interest of public service and on motion of Councilor Gina Gulanes-Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to declare as it hereby declares the Annual Budget of Barangay West Tapinac for the Fiscal Year 2012 in the amount of Four Million Thirty Thousand One Hundred Sixty Two Pesos and 10/100 (PhP4,030,162.10) operative in its entirety;

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that copy of Barangay West Tapinac Appropriation Ordinance No. 1, Series of 2012 dated January 6, 2012 and the letter from Ms. Marey Beth D. Marzan, City Budget Officer dated April 19, 2012 be made as integral parts of this Resolution.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH TIMES SQUARE CINEMA FOR THE COMPLIMENTARY MOVIE PASSES OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS OF OLONGAPO CITY

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 116, Series of 2011 entitled: “A Resolution Requesting all Cinema Operators to Grant Complimentary Admission for Olongapo City Senior Citizens” was passed buy the City Council on November 29, 2011 and was duly approved by City Mayor on December 14, 2011;

WHEREAS, the said Resolution is one way of extending gratitude to the elderly Olongapeños who wish to have convenient recreation;

WHEREAS, Times Square Cinema, the first cinema operator located at Subic Bay Freeport Zone, provides recreational activity with its modern facilities and services that delight customers;

WHEREAS, the said movie house would be a great contributor in giving such convenient recreation to the Senior Citizens of Olongapo City who have the privilege of enjoying the benefit because it is conveniently located at the business center of Subic Bay Freeport Zone;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with Times Square Cinema for the Complimentary Movie Passes of the Senior Citizens of Olongapo City.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO ENTER, EXECUTE AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) FOR THE SOCIAL PENSION FOR INDIGENT SENOR CITIZENS IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, the city adheres to the precept that a holistic support system should be established and institutionalized for Senior Citizens, especially those who belong to the unprivileged/indigent sector;

WHEREAS, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Office and the city has endeavored on a partnership to provide a social pension fund assistance for the qualified indigent senior citizens as per assessment of the DSWD Region III and the City Social Welfare and Development Office;

WHEREAS, under the partnership mechanism, the DSWD shall forge a partnership for technical and fund assistance;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the Hon. City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter, execute and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the social pension for indigent senior citizens in a manner consistent with law.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO ENTER, EXECUTE AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE ASSOCIATION OF PHILIPPINE-AMERICAN PHYSICIANS IN OHIO FOUNDATION (APPO) REPRESENTED BY ITS PRESIDENT, JESSICA-STRASBURG, M.D. FOR A MEDICAL MISSION FOR OLONGAPO CITY ON FEBRUARY 3 – 8, 2013 IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, the Association of Philippine-American Physicians in Ohio Foundation (APPO) has been conducting medical missions to different areas in the Philippines since 1981 (the first medical mission was conducted by an organized Philippine medical association in the US assisted by the Rotary Club of Manila, Philippines), providing general surgical and medical services for free;

WHEREAS, APPO shall conduct its Medical Mission activities in Olongapo City on February 3-8, 2013, which will benefit the indigent constituents of Olongapo City who are in need of medical assistance;

WHEREAS, this Agreement is made between Olongapo City represented by Honorable Mayor James Gordon, Jr., City Councilor James Gordon delos Reyes and Dr. Arturo Mendoza, Chief of Hospital and the Association of Philippine-American Physicians in Ohio Foundation represented by Jessica-Strasburg, M.D., APP President;

WHEREAS, City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. or City Councilor James G. delos Reyes shall appoint staff to screen indigent patients, referred patients for the pre-operative screening to be done by designated physicians or Dr. Arturo Mendoza;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter, execute and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with he Association of Philippine-American Physicians in Ohio Foundation (APPO) represented by its President, Jessica-Strasburg, M.D. for a medical mission for Olongapo City on February 3-8, 2013 in a manner consistent with law.”
