A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING UTMOST APPRECIATION TO THE METRO OLONGAPO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, INC. FOR THEIR INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTION THAT LED TO THE SUCCESSFUL CONDUCT OF THE 3RD ANNUAL PACIFIC ISLANDS LOCAL GOVERNMENT (APILG) CONFERENCE HOSTED BY OLONGAPO CITY

WHEREAS, Olongapo City hosted the 3rd Annual Pacific Islands Local Government Conference last February 18-21, 2010;

WHEREAS, the event which was attended by elected local government officials from the Territory of Guam, Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), the Republic of Belau (Palau), the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), the Republic of the Philippines and local government representatives from our other Pacific island neighbors in the State of Hawaii, Territory of American Samoa and the Republic of Marshall Islands;

WHEREAS, various contractors and manpower agencies interested in Guam Build-Up Project also attended the conference;

WHEREAS, Metro Olongapo Chamber of Commerce (MOCCI) through their President Mr. Aurelio “Bong” Pineda and other officers of MOCCI extended remarkable services and dedicated collaboration that led to the success of the 3rd APILG Conference;

WHEREAS, the City Government recognizes and appreciates the outstanding contribution of MOCCI and salutes its officers and members for their untiring support on all of the city’s endeavors;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to express, as it hereby expresses utmost appreciation to the Metro Olongapo Chamber of Commerce, Inc. for their invaluable contribution that led to the successful conduct of the 3rd Annual Pacific Islands Local Government (APILG) conference hosted by Olongapo City

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR AND CITY TREASURER TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE DEVELOPMENT BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES (DBP) AND TO SIGN ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO THE EXTENSION OF THE MATURITY OF THE TWENTY TWO MILLION (PHP22.0M) 1:1 LOAN FOR ANOTHER 358 DAYS FROM 31 MARCH 2010 TO 24 MARCH 2011

WHEREAS, the Olongapo City Government has availed of the Twenty Two Million “One-on-One” loan with the Development Bank of the Philippines which will expire on April 1, 2010;

WHEREAS, the City has already negotiated with DBP for the extension of the said loan for another 358 days from 31 March 2010 to 24 March 2011;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Jonathan G. Manalo, co-sponsored by City Councilors Rodel S. Cerezo, Edwin J. Piano, Aquilino Y. Cortez, Jr., Anselmo A. Aquino, Elena C. Dabu, Audie S. Sundiam and Cheenee F. Hoya, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor and City Treasurer to negotiate with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) and to sign all documents pertaining to the extension of the maturity of the Twenty Two Million (Php22.0M) 1:1 loan for another 358 days from 31 March 2010 to 24 March 2011.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE JAMES GORDON JR., TO ENTER INTO A MUTUAL ACCREDITATION AGREEMENT FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE JAMES L.GORDON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WITH THE BLUE CROSS HEALTH CARE, INC. REPRESENTED BY ITS MEDICAL DIRECTOR, NOEL L. ROSAS, MD,FPCP,FPCC

WHEREAS, Blue Cross Health Care, Inc., is a company engaged in the promotion and marketing of its health care programs consisting of preventive health care, in-patient and out-patient services;

WHEREAS, the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital is a tertiary medical facility owned by the local government of Olongapo City;

WHEREAS, the aforesaid company can only accomplish its tasks through its accreditation to a hospital that provides excellent medical facility and quality care, such as the James L. Gordon Hospital;

WHEREAS, the City deems to authorize the City Mayor for and on behalf of the James L. Gordon Hospital to enter into an agreement with Blue Cross Health Care, Inc., regarding their health care package;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Aquilino Y. Cortez, Jr. with the unanimous accord of the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

HERNANDEZ FOR ACCREDITATION AS A PREVENTIVE HEALTH CARE AND TO PROVIDE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TO ITS MEMBERS

WHEREAS, Fil Care Industrial Health, Inc., is a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) company, which provides industrial workers with comprehensive and affordable health care package;

WHEREAS, particularly Fil Care endeavors to reach out the contractual workers from different business sector with a standard health card that will meaningfully address their health care needs;

WHEREAS, the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital is a tertiary medical facility owned by the local government of Olongapo City;

WHEREAS, the said HMO company can only accomplish its tasks through its accreditation to a hospital that provides excellent medical facility and quality care, such as the James L. Gordon Hospital;
