A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING DEEPEST
SYMPATHIES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF SOTERO “KA
JUN” DOMINGO AND RECOGNIZING HIS INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE LOCAL ARTS
AND CULTURE
WHEREAS, Sotero “Ka Jun” Domingo, also known as “Sotee”, a distinguished
local artist from East Bajac-Bajac, joined
our creator last March 13, 2014,
WHEREAS, Ka Jun’s masterpieces show impressions of various
subjects which are intricately shaped and molded with the use of an assortment
of rocks, pebbles, leaves, twigs, roots and other materials from nature and the
end product is a unique, masterful mosaic depiction of still life that only the
likes of Sotee could ever achieve;
WHEREAS, Ka Jun’s creations were exhibited in the Hall of
Congress of the Philippines with no less than renowned Art Enthusiast and
former First Lady now Congresswoman Imelda Marcos gracing the occasion;
WHEREAS, Sotee also exhibited his works at Harbor Point, Ayala
Mall twice upon request of the management where they showcased Ka Jun’s works to their VIP guests and local patrons;
WHEREAS, Ka Jun lived a
simple life serving his flocks at the Iglesia Ni Cristo as Head Deacon of F.
Manalo locale and aroused the imagination of other local artists setting
example on how to be innately different, creating out of the box art works;
NOW,
THEREFORE, on motion of City
Councilor Eduardo J. Piano, with the unanimous accord of the Member of the
Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED,
AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session
assembled, to express, as it hereby
expresses deepest sympathies to the bereaved family of Sotero “Ka Jun” Domingo
and recognizing his invaluable contributions to the Local Arts and Culture.
