A RESOLUTION COMMENDING  ELSIE “MAMYSIE” CABRAL FOR WINNING THE 2014 UNSUNG WOMEN HEROES AWARD OF SOROPTIMIST  INTERNATIONAL  OF THE PHILIPPINES REGION (A FOUNDATION) INC.

            WHEREAS, Soroptimist International of the Philippines Region (A Foundation) Inc., is an international organization whose mission and core purpose is to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world;

            WHEREAS, Unsung Women Heroes Award is the signature program of Soroptimist International of the Philippines Region (A Foundation) Inc. which recognizes women who, with great fervor and little fanfare, have made it their life’s work to uplift the well-being of other women and girls in their communities;

            WHEREAS, the Awards honor women who, despite scarcity of resources and challenging conditions, engage in laudable projects that improve the lives of women and girls whilst inspiring and empowering other women;

            WHEREAS, through the Awards, Soroptimist seeks to promote its work, trigger a ripple effect of social awareness and goodwill and, in the process, enlarge the scope and impact of Soroptimist in local communities;

            WHEREAS, paying tribute to the many selfless volunteers working at the grassroot level and disadvantaged sectors, the Soroptimist Unsung Women Heroes Awards hope to inspire other women to pursue similar paths of leadership, commitment and creativity to make this world a better place for all;

            WHEREAS,  Soroptimist International of Olongapo nominated our very own ELSIE “MAMYSIE” CABRAL to this prestigious award and was chosen as one of the ten (10) winners vying other nominees from all over the country having exemplified the qualities of a true unsung women hero.

            NOW, THEREFORE,  with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED  by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to commend as it hereby commends ELSIE “MAMYSIE” CABRAL for being one of the winners of 2014 UNSUNG WOMEN HEROES AWARD of Soroptimist International of the Philippines Region (A Foundation) Inc.

A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHIES AND HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES  TO  THE  BEREAVED  FAMILY  OF CITY COUNCILOR HONORABLE EDNA A. ELANE FOR THE UNTIMELY DEMISE OF

 HER DAUGHTER, JONI MAE A. ELANE, FORMER BARANGAY

KAGAWAD OF BARANGAY  NEW ASINAN

WHEREAS, the untimely demise of Joni Mae A. Elane, eldest daughter of City Councilor Edna A. Elane, on April 1, 2014 brought sadness to her family, friends and to the constituents she served as a former public official;

WHEREAS, "Joni" or "Mae" as fondly called by her family and friends was a public servant who ranked number one as a Barangay Council Member of Barangay New Asinan from 2010 to 2013. With her abilities and capabilities, she actively took part in various activities and projects that benefited the people of Barangay New Asinan. Also, she offered her assistance in various endeavors of her Barangay;

WHEREAS, the 30-year-old former Barangay Kagawad is the first of two daughters of Mr. Manuel Elane and  City Councilor Edna Elane. During her lifetime, she was known to be a jolly and a highly-spirited young woman who loved to help her family and her colleagues to the best that she could. She was a loving daughter, a caring mother to her one-year-old son, an understanding partner, a thoughtful sister and a cheerful person to her friends and loved ones;

WHEREAS, she was profoundly loved and respected that her sudden demise has brought deep sorrow but her benevolence and her compassion will always be remembered not only by her family and friends, but also by the people whom she touched lives;

WHEREAS, the entire officialdom of Olongapo City joins the bereaved family of City Councilor Edna A. Elane for the untimely demise of her daughter Joni Mae and may our Almighty God grant her soul eternal rest and peace in His glorious kingdom;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to express, as it hereby expresses deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of City Councilor Honorable Edna A. Elane for the untimely demise of her daughter Joni Mae A. Elane former Barangay Kagawad of Barangay New Asinan.

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be furnished to the bereaved family of Joni Mae A. Elane as token of our respect and recognition of a good woman who served our City as a Barangay Council Member.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE ROLEN C. PAULINO TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN A PAYROLL SERVICING AGREEMENT WITH THE DEVELOPMENT BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES, REPRESENTED BY SAVP EDUADRDO Z. RIVERA, HEAD, REGIONAL MARKETING CENTER

            WHEREAS, the Development Bank of the Philippines offers banking services such as servicing payroll requirements of government agencies/entities;

            WHEREAS, the City Government of Olongapo deems that availing such services will significantly improve the City’s payroll system;

            NOW, THEREFORE,  on motion of City Councilor Alreuela M. Bundang-Ortiz, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sanggunaiang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor, Honorable Rolen C. Paulino to enter into and sign a Payroll Servicing Agreement with the Development Bank of Philippines, represented by SAVP Eduardo Z. Rivera, Head, Regional Marketing Center.

            Let a copy of the said Payroll Servicing Agreement be made as integral part of this Resolution.
