A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF BARANGAY BANICAIN FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2012 OPERATIVE IN ITS ENTIRETY

In the interest of public service and with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to declare as it hereby declares the Annual Budget of Barangay New Banicain for the Fiscal Year 2012 operative in its entirety considering that the said budget as contained in Appropriation Ordinance No. 01, Series of 2012 of Barangay New Banicain, upon review by the Sangguniang Panlungsod, has substantially complied with the requirements and limitations set forth under Republic Act No. 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. PROVIDED, that the City Accountant is enjoined to observe that the conditions enumerated by the City Budget Officer in her letter dated March 23, 2012 are strictly complied with;

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED  that Appropriation Ordinance No. 01, Series of 2012 of Barangay New Banicain dated January 25, 2012 and the letter from Ms. Marey Beth D. Marzan, City Budget Officer dated March 23, 2012 be made as integral parts of this Resolution.

A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE OLONGAPO CITY ATHLETES FOR WINNING IN THE CLARAA HELD AT IBA, ZAMBALES LAST FEBRUARY 19-24, 2012

WHEREAS, in the hearts of little champions, big dreams are waiting to come to life. Back then, these dreams partially come to life in small town tournaments, local inter-school leagues and even informal streets competition amongst friends. In the true spirit of building champions in life, CLARAA saw the growing need for these little champions’ big dreams to come front and center;

WHEREAS, the league held competitions in 16 sports namely – archery, athletics, arnis, boxing, basketball, baseball, badminton, chess, gymnastics, lawn tennis, softball, soccer, sepak-takraw, swimming, table tennis and taekwondo;

WHEREAS, throughout the years, CLARAA has successfully provided a sporting event that little champions look forward to and served as an avenue for these athletes to showcase their unlimited potentials;

WHEREAS, there were hundreds of athletes from our city who joined this event to showcase out little champions to compete on different sports;

WHEREAS, the six-day competition was considered a worthwhile exposure for the athletes, coping with pressure, determination, self-confidence, and most of all fairness in dealing with competitors;

WHEREAS, there were around 20 athletes who qualified and at the same time representing the city for the upcoming Palarong Pambansa on May 6-12, 2012 at Lingayen, Pangasinan;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Dolly Mae M. Ramos, with the unanimous accord of the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to congratulate, as it is hereby congratulates the Olongapo City Athletes for winning in the CLARAA held at Iba, Zambales last February 19-24, 2012.
