A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF OLONGAPO REPRESENTED BY THE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH PHILIPPINE HEALTH INSURANCE CORPORATION REPRESENTED BY ITS ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT TITO M. MENDIOLA REGARDING HEALTH PROGRAMS


WHEREAS, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, a government corporation organized and existing by virtue of Republic Act 7875, is mandated to provide all citizens with the mechanism to gain financial access to health services and to help the people pay for the same;

WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo, consistent with its vision and objectives acknowledges its own responsibility to provide a basic package of needed personal health services for the social and economic well-being of the people specifically the marginalized and underprivileged, through the implementation of the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP);

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Government Of Olongapo Represented By The City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. To Enter Into A Memorandum Of Agreement With Philippine Health Insurance Corporation Represented By Its Assistant Vice President Tito M. Mendiola Regarding Health Programs.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MAYOR, JAMES GORDON, JR. TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE OLONGAPO CITY PUBLIC MARKET STALLHOLDERS ASSOCIATION
FOR THE OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE OLONGAPO CITY PUBLIC MARKET COMFORT ROOM


WHEREAS, since the Olongapo City Public Market Stallholders Association knew for a fact the ins and outs of the market’s daily operation, it will be best if their members will be the ones to maintain the cleanliness of its surroundings, moreso of the public market’s comfort room;

WHEREAS, due to the abovementioned, the Sangguniang Panlungsod deems that granting an authority to the City Mayor to enter into an agreement with the said stallholders as regards to the management of the Olongapo City Public Market comfort room is necessary;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Brian Patrick H. Gordon, co-sponsored by Councilors Marey Beth D. Marzan and John Carlos G. Delos Reyes, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes City Mayor, James Gordon, Jr. to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Olongapo City Public Market Stallholders Association for the operation and management of the Olongapo City Public Market comfort room.

A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE ADDENDUM TO THE CONTRACT OF JANITORIAL SERVICES ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN SUBIC BAY WORKERS/VOLUNTEERS MULTI PURPOSE COOPERATIVE, INC. (SBWVMPC) REPRESENTED BY ITS ACTING GENERAL MANAGER CARMEN C. DEL ROSARIO AND THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF OLONGAPO REPRESENTED BY CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR.


WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Olongapo passed Resolution No. 166, Series of 2006 allowing the City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter into a contract allowing for emergency extension of janitorial services which will expire August 31, 2006 last August 30, 2006;

WHEREAS, it is necessary that the Addendum to the Contract of Janitorial Services for the period of one (1) month starting on September 1, 2006 until September 30, 2006 be ratified;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to ratify, as it hereby ratifies The Addendum To The Contract Of Janitorial Services Entered Into By And Between Subic Bay Workers/Volunteers Multi Purpose Cooperative, Inc. (SBWVMPC) Represented By Its Acting General Manager Carmen C. Del Rosario And The City Government Of Olongapo Represented By City Mayor James Gordon, Jr.

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of the signed Addendum to the Contract of Janitorial Services and Resolution No. 166, Series of 2006 be made as integral parts of this Resolution.

WHEREAS, the City endeavors to explore the wonders and benefits of the tuba-tuba plant, whose scientific name is jatropha curcas l., a fast-growing small tree where its nuts can be processed into bio-fuels;

WHEREAS, an agreement between Olongapo City and the Philippine Forest Corporation regarding the propagation and plantation of the tuba-tuba plant is necessary for the accomplishment of the aforesaid pursuit;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes City Mayor, James Gordon, Jr. to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding by and between the Philippine Forest Corporation represented by its President Rodolfo Noel I.
