RESOLUTION NO. 217

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE PHILIPPINE-AUSTRALIAN LAND ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT PROJECT 2 (PA-LAMP2) TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TEAM RELATIVE TO THE GRANT AWARDED TO THE CITY UNDER THE INNOVATION SUPPORT FUND OF THE LAND ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT PROJECT PHASE 2 (LAMP2) FUNDED BY THE AUSTRALIAN AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (AUSAID)
WHEREAS, the Land Administration and Management (LAM) program is a 15-20 year program which aims to accelerate the process of land administration and land management reform and support the progressive expansion of tenure security and the adoption of approved property valuation standards and procedures through sustainable partnership agreements;
WHEREAS, the Innovation Support Fund (ISF) is a A$1.5 Million grant fund, the objective of which is to encourage provinces and cities to become actively engaged in initiating processes of LAM reform and improved service delivery in their specific areas and expected to encourage LGUs in adopting LAM reform to foster innovation in a competitive manner;
WHEREAS, Olongapo City is among the ten (10) Local Government Units that applied for grant with the Innovation Support Fund (ISF) under the LAMP2;
WHEREAS, ISF grant award committee has awarded to Olongapo City the grant as the first LGU (pioneer) under the ISF-LAMP2;
WHEREAS, a grant agreement shall be formalized and signed between the City and the PA-LAMP2 Technical Assistance Team;

WHEREAS, the ISF grant agreement shall include all responsibilities, financial and resources commitments, administrative and fund accountabilities, reporting and monitoring arrangements for the grant award;
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine-Australian Land Administration and Management Project 2 (PA-LAMP2) Technical Assistance Team relative to the grant awarded to the City under the Innovation Support Fund of the Land Administration and Management Project Phase 2 (LAMP2) funded by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID)
