WHEREAS, Dr. Esterlina E. Bernales, Barretto National High School Principal and Education Program Supervisor for Araling Panlipunan (Secondary), has retired on January 15, 2014 after devoting 37 significant years of her life to the cause of the public education system;

WHEREAS, during her service in Olongapo City since 1977, Dr. Bernales gave her best time and efforts in creating remarkable impact in the lives of his pupil and colleagues, strengthening the main fabric of society—mission to raise morally upright and responsible citizens;

WHEREAS, Dr. Bernales had left an indelible of hardwork, perseverance, and dedication to public service;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AT IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled extend, as it hereby extends, for an in behalf of the people and City Government of Olongapo, due recognition to Dr. Esterlina E. Bernales for her exemplary performance in service rendered for the past 37 years to the City of Olongapo.

A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CITY COUNCILOR ALREUELA M. BUNDANG-ORTIZ AS AMBASSADOR OF GOODWILL OF THE CITY OF OLONGAPO TO THE VARIOUS FIL-AM COMMUNITIES IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

            WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo is deeply honored for the visit of officials from  communities of the world, in the spirit of cordiality nurtured through meaningful sisterhood agreements mutually benefiting the people of both governments;

            WHEREAS, with our sister city/twinning program in place specifically in the United States of America, Olongapo looks forward for richer ties and anticipates the benefits of cohesion and exchange through its second wave of trade, economic and sister city missions in the said country and explore other developmental initiatives opened before us;

            WHEREAS, with the legal prowess of City Councilor Alreuela M. Bundang-Ortiz, a seasoned lawyer and legislator, Olongapo City  is positive that it can seize opportunities for its constituents and assist the City as a whole in its linkages for trade, business, education and cultural exchange mutually benefiting the citizens of both communities;

            NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Elena C. Dabu, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to designate, as it hereby designates City Councilor Alreuela M. Bundang-Ortiz as Ambassador of Goodwill of the City of Olongapo  to the various Fil-Am communities in the United States of America.
