A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE ROLEN C. PAULINO TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN THE DEED OF DONATION WITH THE VICTORY LINER, INC. REPRESENTED BY ITS PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER, JOHNNY T. HERNANDEZ AS REGARDS TO THE NISSAN BUS DONATED BY THE AFORESAID COMPANY TO THE CITY OF OLONGAPO

WHEREAS, the City welcomes donations from its community partners to significantly augment the growing need to optimize and deliver a variety of social services redounding to the greater benefit of its constituents;

WHEREAS, Olongapo recognizes and appreciates its steadfast partnership with Victory Liner, Inc. in the City’s developmental thrusts;

WHEREAS, Victory Liner, Inc. owns one (1) unit of Nissan bus, for transportation activities/services, which they intend to donate, in response to the needs of the times, all for goodwill and fidelity to the people of Olongapo;

NOW, THEREFORE,  with the  unanimous accord   of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it hereby authorizes City Mayor, Honorable Rolen C. Paulino to enter into and sign the Deed of Donation with the Victory Liner, Inc. represented by its President and General Manager, Johnny T. Hernandez as regards to the Nissan bus donated by aforesaid company to the City of Olongapo.

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING HONORABLE DOLLY MAE M. RAMOS

FOR  HER  INVALUABLE  CONTRIBUTION  TO  THE  CITY OF OLONGAPO

AS CITY COUNCILOR AND SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN FEDERATION PRESIDENT FROM CY 2010-2013

WHEREAS, age and maturity though essential for public service , is a secondary consideration, as City Councilor Dolly Mae Ramos, the city’s youth representative, embodies the very basic attribute of an effective public  servant, that is, her sincerity and  purity of  heart to be of service;

WHEREAS,  at a young age of 19, her track record speaks of numerous achievements which consist of the following:  Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chair of Barangay Old Cabalan, SK Federation President of Olongapo, thus, became an Ex-Officio Member of the Olongapo City Council who chaired the Committees on Youth and Sports Development;  Press Relations Officer (P.R.O.) of the SK Regional Federation; Member of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) of the SK  National Federation and COMELEC Chairman of the SK National Federation in January 2011;

WHEREAS,  in addition to the feather in her hat, City Councilor Ramos became a Resource Speaker for the SK National Federation Convention and talked  on the role of youth during disasters.  She completed several projects and programs in three (3) years as the SK Federation Presisent of Olongapo for the annual celebration of the  Linggo ng Kabataan . These include the following:  Charity Days, Clean-up Drives, Livelihood Seminars, Disaster Seminars, City Boy and Girl Officials, Installation of Computer Learning Center to all barangays, yearly Annual Tuli with more than 2000 beneficiaries, Inter-barangay Basketball League, Special Program for the Employment of Students, Relief Operations for Habagat and Food Assistance to Leptospirosis Outbreak Patients

WHEREAS, aside from managing her busy time as a public servant, City Councilor Ramos also put focus on her studies as a Political Science student and the Inter-Departmental Coordinating Council President;

WHEREAS, City Councilor Dolly Mae Ramos, in her years of service in the government at a young age, has developed an open-minded attitude and higher level of maturity which shall prepare her for her future endeavors,  not just for personal gains but for the benefit of the City she faithfully serves, that is,  Olongapo City.

NOW, THEREFORE,  with the  unanimous accord  of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to commend, as it hereby commends Honorable Dolly Mae M. Ramos for her invaluable contributions to the City of Olongapo as City Councilor and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President from CY 2010-2013.

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING HONORABLE CARLITO A. BALOY FOR

 HIS INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTION TO THE CITY OF OLONGAPO AS CITY COUNCILOR AND LIGA NG MGA BARANGAY PRESIDENT FROM CY 2006-2013

WHEREAS, a public servant in its noblest form, City Councilor Carlito A. Baloy’s service to the barangay sums up to 38 years starting as Purok Leader in 1970  then  as Barangay Kagawad. Furthermore, he completed three (3)  terms, a total of 11 years, as Punong Barangay of Barangay Barretto and assumed the position of Liga ng mga Barangay President from CY 2006 up to 2013 which made him as automatic Ex-Officio Member of the Sangguniang Palungsod of Olongapo;

WHEREAS, “Capt. Baloy” is also active in several non-government organizations such as Subic Bay Resorts Association as its President for three (3) years, Baloy Heir’s Association as President; Barretto Business Association as President; Sari-Sari Store Association as President; Bantay Dagat Region III as President and the Philippine Red Cross as Board of Director for 15 years and is currently part of the Board;

WHEREAS, the dedication and commitment displayed by Capt. Baloy earned him the award as the “Most  Outstanding Barangay Captain” in 2004, and under his leadership, the Lupon Tagapamayapa of Barangay Barretto became a national awardee and made it to the Hall of Fame of three (3) consecutive years;

WHEREAS, significant to his contributions was the  implementation of the Standard Revenue Code for the 17 Barangay which started January of 2012;

WHEREAS, as an experienced government  official,  implementator of plans and program most beneficial for the general welfare of his constituents, a true friend and a loving family man, City Councilor Carlito A. Baloy is  instantly admired and respected.

NOW, THEREFORE,  with the  unanimous accord   of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to commend, as it hereby commends Honorable Carlito A. Baloy for his invaluable contributions to the City of Olongapo as City Councilor and Liga ng mga Barangay President from CY 2006-2013.
