A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GORDON COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION NO. 11, SERIES OF 2012 ENTITLED “RECOMMENDING THE APPROVAL OF THE IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES FOR THE GORDON COLLEGE OF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM”

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod deems proper that the Gordon College-Board of Trustees Resolution recommending the approval of the implementing guidelines for the Gordon College Scholarship Program is necessary for adoption;

WHEREAS, it is indeed necessary to carry out the purpose and functions of the College;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Eyrma Yvette Marzan-Estrella, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to adopt, as it hereby adopts, the Gordon College Board of Trustees Resolution No. 11, Series of 2012 entitled: “Recommending The Approval Of the Implementing Guidelines For the Gordon College Scholarship Program.”

A RESOLUTION EXTENDING COMMENDATION TOMR. PERCIVAL ALTARES FOR WINNING THE MOST OUTSTANDING PAGCORIAN AWARDS 2012

WHEREAS, Mr. Percival Altares, Bookkeeper CF-Olongapo, has been awarded as finalist in the search for Most Outstanding PAGCORIAN Awards 2012 (Non Supervisory Category) last October 2012 in Ermita, Manila;

WHEREAS, as bookkeeper since 2008, Mr. Altares has exemplified strong commitment and genuine dedication to provide excellent service to Casino Filipino Olongapo;

WHEREAS, due to his exceptional skills, he was awarded as 2011 Model Employee of Casino Filipino-Olongapo and became part of the 2008 Best Accounting Section of PAGCOR;

WHEREAS, a full-fledged Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Altares is an active member of PICPA-Olongapo and was recently nominated to the search for Young Achiever in Government Service of the Philippines Institute of Certified Public Accountants;

WHEREAS, Mr. Altares is, likewise, an active office of JCI Olongapo and has contributed to the local organizations in different areas and other national awards;

WHEREAS, as a part time college instructor of Gordon College Olongapo City since 2003, he successfully conveyed accounting concepts and application in management and auditing more importantly, was instrumental in the passing of CPA Licensure Examinations by Gordon College students;

WHEREAS, he received Certificate of Special Achievement for outstanding attendance, dedication, and devotion to duty as an employee of Legend International Resorts Ltd. given last 31 March 2008 at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone;

WHEREAS, with the aforementioned accomplishments of Mr. Altares, Olongapo City is proud to have found an educator and young professional who is extending his knowledge and skills to the young constituents of the community;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to extend, as it hereby extends commendation to Mr. Percival Altares for winning the Most Outstanding PAGCORIAN Awards 2012.

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE INDORSEMENT BY THE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL OF THE SUPPLEMENTAL ANNUAL INVESTMENT PLAN (AIP) FOR THE PRIORITY INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS FOR 2012-2013, IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, as embodied in the Olongapo Local Development Council Resolution indorsing the Supplemental Annual Investment Plan for the Priority Infrastructure Projects of 2012-2013, was duly approved on August 30, 2012 by the members of the Local Development Council;

WHEREAS, the action of the Local Development Council is sanctioned under Section 287 on the Republic Act No. 7160 and Articles 383 (b) of its Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR) and Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Joint Circular No. 1, Series of 2005 with respect to the development fund which is to be allocated for uses as those designated by the Local Development Council;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Gina Gulanes-Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to adopt, as it hereby adopts the indoresement by the Local Development Council of the Supplemental Annual Investment Plan (AIP) for the Priority Infrastructure Projects for 2012-2013, in manner consistent with law.

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE OLONGAPO LOCAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL INDORSED FIVE-YEAR LOCAL INVESTMENT PLAN FOR CHILDREN (FOR THE YEARS 2012 TO 2016), IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, the City of Olongapo has been a sincere advocate for long-term initiatives and reforms for the welfare of the youth/children which led to its consistent recognition as among the most child friendly cities both in the Regional and national levels;

WHEREAS, to ensure that there is a consistent, holistic and comprehensive development approach with respect to youth/child welfare, the Local Council for the Protection of Children of the City formulated a Local Investment Plan for Children which should be strengthened by means of adoption by the highest legislative body in the city;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Elena C. Dabu, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to adopt, as it hereby adopts the Olongapo Local Development Council Indorsed Five-Year Local Investment Plan for Children (For the Years 2012 to 2016), in a manner consistent with law.
