            WHEREAS, the City deems to provide the extension of the 20% discount program for those who will pay in full and in advance of their Real Property Taxes for 2015 from December 31, 2014 to February 15, 2015 due to the long holidays and upon the recommendation of the Officer-in-Charge of the City Treasurer’s Office and the City Finance Committee;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor  Noel Y. Atienza, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance :

ORDINANCE NO. 01

AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE 20% DISCOUNT ON THE ADVANCE PAYMENT OF REAL PROPERTY TAXES DUE FOR THE YEAR 2015 AS PROVIDED UNDER SECTION 2B.12 OF THE 2007 REVENUE CODE TO FEBRUARY 15, 2015,

 IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

            SECTION 1 . The twenty percent (20%) discount on the advance payment of real property taxes due for tax year 2015 is hereby extended until February 15, 2015 to tax payers who will pay their Real Property taxes (RPTs) in full.

            SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.

In the interest of public service and on motion of Councilor Gregorio A. Manglicmot, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED,AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:

ORDINANCE NO. 96 (Series of 2003)

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PROPOSED COMPROMISE AGREEMENT ON THE PAYMENT OF DELINQUENT REAL PROPERTY TAXES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH DELINQUENT REAL PROPERTY TAXPAYERS

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANGPANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. In order to maximize revenue generation on Real Property Taxes, the following scheme on the payment of Delinquent Real Property Taxes is hereby recommended:

a. That twenty five percent (25%) of the delinquent real property tax must be paid upon the signing of the compromise agreement and the balance to be paid on the following schedule:

c. That while the compromise agreement is in effect, the taxpayer shall also pay his current real property tax.

SECTION 2. That the City Treasurer IS authorized to enter into the said agreement.

SECTION 3. That copies of the Compromise Agreement shall be provided the City Assessor who shall annotate the same on the Tax Declarations.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect during the implementation of remedial measures to collect taxes.
