A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD) FIELD OFFICE III, REPRESENTED BY ITS REGIONAL DIRECTOR, ADELINA S. APOSTOL FOR THE CONSTRUCTION/ REPAIR/ EXPANSION OF A DAY CARE CENTER AMOUNTING TO TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (PHP200,000.00)

WHEREAS, DSWD Field Office III informed the City Government of Olongapo that a budget coming from the Bases Conversion Development Authority shall be available for the construction/ repair/ expansion of a Day Care Center located in thickly populated area to cater to additional number of children specially in Pantawid Pamilya Area;

WHEREAS, a Memorandum Of Agreement is required to facilitate the release/transfer of funds;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Elena C. Dabu co-sponsored by City Councilor Edna A. Elane, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize,  as it  hereby authorizes City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter into a Memorandum Of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office III, represented by its Regional Director, Adelina S. Apostol for the construction/repair/expansion of a Day Care Center amounting to Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (PHP200,000.00).

In the interest of public service and on motion of Councilor Bella P. Asuncion, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to enact the following Ordinance:


ORDINANCE NO. 02

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED FORTY FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY PESOS (PHP244,580.00) TO THE ITEM REPAIR & MAINTENANCE – MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER THE MAINTENANCE & OTHER OPERATING EXPENSES OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION & MANAGEMENT OFFICE


BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:

SECTION 1. The amount of Two Hundred Forty Four Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Pesos (PhP244,580.00) is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Balance of the General Fund not otherwise appropriated and the same is hereby made available to the item Repair & Maintenance – Motor Vehicle under the Maintenance & Other Operating Expenses of the Environmental Sanitation & Management Office for the painting of garbage trucks acquired by the city in year 2005.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

SECTION 3. The pertinent letter-request of the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr., dated 27 December 2006, letter of Mr. Dante P. Ramos, City Government Department Head II, dated 13 December 2006 and a Certificate of Availability of Funds dated January 3, 2007 issued by Mr. Marcelino C. Andawi, City Treasurer are hereby made as integral parts of this Ordinance.
