A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE USE OF PROCEEDS FROM THE 2011-2012 NIGHT MARKET/NIGHT BAZAAR FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN AMBULANCE TO AUGMENT THE CITY’S DISASTER MANAGEMENT AND HEALTH SERVICES, IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, as per City Council Resolution No. 97, Series of 2011, the proceeds of the Night Market/Night Bazaar last year 2011-2012 shall be utilized for the city’s public service initiatives for the victims of natural calamities and/or disasters considering that the activity was sanctioned to augment efforts for the welfare of the victims of typhoon Pedring and of prospective natural disaster or calamities;

WHEREAS, the city’s public service initiatives include actions relating to disaster management/procurement of calamity related services, equipment or vehicles such as ambulances and other medical-related facilities to augment the city’s health services;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Gina Gulanes-Perez co-sponsored by City Councilors Rodel S. Cerezo, Eyrma Yvette Marzan-Estrella, Elena C. Dabu, Eduardo J. Piano and Edna A. Elane, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to designate, as it hereby designates the use of proceeds from the 2011-2012 Night Market/Night Bazaar for the purchase of an ambulance to augment the city’s disaster management and health services, in a manner consistent with law.

A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE MEMORADUM OF AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN PERSONNEL WELFARE ASSISTANCE (PWA), COMMISSION ON AUDIT REPRESENTED BY ITS ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER AND PWA CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ROBERTO B. CATLI, PWA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR LUZVI P. CHATTO AND THE CITY GOVERNMENT
OF OLONGAPO REPRESENTED BY ITS MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. REGARDING HEALTH SERVICES


WHEREAS, the City Government of Olongapo represented by the Hon. City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. for the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital and Personnel Welfare and Assistance, Commission on Audit, represented by Roberto B.Catli, Asst. Commissioner , PWA Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Luzvi P. Chatto, Director IV, PWA Executive Director signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) regarding Health Services, authority of which was given through Sangguniang Panlungsod Resolution No. 222, Series of 2006;

WHEREAS, it is deemed proper by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod to ratify the MOA to fully implement its objective;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Cynthia G. Cajudo, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to ratify, as it hereby ratifies the Memorandum of Agreement entered into by and between Personnel Welfare Assistance (PWA), Commission on Audit represented by its Assistant Commissioner and PWA Chairman of the Board of Trustees Roberto B. Catli, PWA Executive Director Luzvi P. Chatto and the City Government of Olongapo represented by its Mayor James Gordon, Jr. regarding health services.
