A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) ENTERED INTO BY CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF OLONGAPO AND SUBIC BAY METROPOLITAN AUTHORITY (SBMA), REPRESENTED BY ITS ADMINISTRATOR AND CEO ARMAND ARREZA FOR THE SIBIT-SIBIT FESTIVAL 2007

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod authorized the City Mayor, by virtue of Resolution No. 72, Series of 2007 to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) represented by its Administrator and CEO Armand Arreza for the Sibit-Sibit Festival 2007;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod deemed it necessary that the said Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) be ratified;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Gina Gulanes-Perez, with unanimous accord of the Members of Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to ratify, as it hereby ratifies, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) entered into by City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. for and in behalf of the City government of Olongapo and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), represented by its Administrator and CEO Armand Arreza for the Sibit-Sibit Festival 2007;

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that a signed copy of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) be made as an integral part of this Resolution.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON JR.TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF OLONGAPO AND SUBIC BAY METROPOLITAN AUTHORITY (SBMA), REPRESENTED BY ITS ADMINISTRATOR AND CEO ARMAND ARREZA FOR THE SIBIT-SIBIT FESTIVAL 2007

WHEREAS, The City Mayor was authorized to accept donation from the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) by virtue of Resolution No. 47, Series of 2007 to organize Sibit-Sibit Festival 2007;

WHEREAS, the Olongapo City Government deemed it necessary to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) to strengthen its partnership for tourism development;

WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that has been undertaken by Deputy Administrator Raul Marcelo and City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. has been deemed null and void due to technicalities as assessed by SBMA authorities;

WHEREAS, the Olongapo City Government deems it necessary to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on this regard, this time with SBMA Administrator and CEO Armand Arreza as the authorized signatory;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Gina Gulanes-Perez, with unanimous accord of the Members of Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor James Gordon Jr. to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for and in behalf of the City Government of Olongapo and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), represented by its Administrator and CEO Armand Arreza for the Sibit- Sibit Festival 2007;

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR TO ACCEPT DONATION FROM THE SUBIC BAY METROPOLITAN AUTHORITY (SBMA) FOR THE UPCOMING SIBIT-SIBIT FESTIVAL 2007


WHEREAS, on April 27, 28 and 29, the City will hold its annual SIBIT SIBIT Festival to highlight beach and wondrous summer activities along the famous Subic Bay waters;

WHEREAS, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) shows its support for the City of Olongapo to boost its tourism industry;

WHEREAS, Olongapo City reaps the benefits of its steadfast partnership with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) in various undertakings;

WHEREAS, the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod deem it best to authorize the City Mayor to accept donation from the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) that can all be used for worthwhile City projects and programs;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Gina G. Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor to accept donation from the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) for the upcoming Sibit-Sibit Festival 2007.
