A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF BARANGAY WEST TAPINAC  FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2013 IN THE AMOUNT OF FOUR MILLION TWO HUNDRED NINETY SIX THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTY PESOS  AND 35/100  (PHP4,296,360.35) OPERATIVE IN ITS ENTIRETY

  

In the interest of public service and on motion of City Councilor Gina Gulanes-Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to declare, as it hereby declares the Annual Budget of Barangay West Tapinac  for the Fiscal Year 2013 in the amount of  Four Million Two Hundred Ninety Six Thousand Three Hundred Sixty Pesos and 35/100 (PhP4,296,360.35) operative in its entirety considering that the said budget as contained in Barangay Appropriation Ordinance No. 01, Series of 2013 of Barangay West Tapinac, upon review by the Sangguniang Panlungsod, has substantially complied with the requirements and limitations set forth under Republic Act No. 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.  PROVIDED, that the City Accountant is enjoined to observe that the conditions enumerated by the City Budget Officer in her letter dated May 24, 2013 are strictly complied with;

A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF BARANGAY NEW BANICAIN FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2013 IN THE AMOUNT OF FOUR MILLION FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY-SIX PESOS (PHP4,431,676.00) OPERATIVE IN ITS ENTIRETY

In the interest of public service and on motion of  City Councilor Gina Gulanes Perez, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang  Panlungsod in session assembled, to declare, as it hereby declares the Annual Budget of Barangay New Banicain  for the Fiscal Year 2013 in the amount of Four Million Four Hundred Thirty-One Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-Six Pesos (PhP4,431,676.00)  operative in its entirety considering that the said budget as contained in Barangay Appropriation Ordinance No. 01, Series of 2013 of New Banicain, upon review by the Sangguniang Panlungsod, has substantially complied with the requirements and limitations set forth under Republic Act No. 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.  PROVIDED, that the City Accountant is enjoined to observe that the conditions enumerated by the City Budget Officer in her letter dated April 17, 2013 are strictly complied with;

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that Barangay Appropriation Ordinance No. 01, Series of 2013 of New Banicain dated January 25, 2013 and the letter from Ms. Marey Beth D. Marzan, City Budget Officer dated April 17, 2013 be made as integral parts of this Resolution.

A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING SENATE BILL NO. 2987 OR THE “BIGGER PIE, BIGGER SLICE BILL” WHICH SEEKS TO INCREASE THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT’S SHARE IN NATIONAL TAXES AND ENHANCE THE CITY’S CAPACITY IN THE DELIVERY OF ESSENTIAL PUBLIC SERVICES

WHEREAS, as per communication dated February 1, 2013, Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III wrote to the City Mayor requesting the City’s support to Senate Bill No. 2987 entitled “An Act increasing THE SHARE OF Local Government Units from 40% of the National Internal Revenue Taxes to 50% share in all taxes collected by the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bureau of Customs, Philippine Ports Authority, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Department of Foreign Affairs and such other government agencies deputized by the Bureau of Internal Revenue to collect national taxes, amending for this purpose Section 284 of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991;”

WHEREAS, the Senate Bill No. 2987 known as the “bigger pie, bigger slice bill” aims to infuse and increase  the revenues of Local Government Units in order to provide essential public services especially those relating to the promotion, enhancement and protection of the people’s health, education, and other social amelioration initiatives;

NOW, THEREFORE, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to support, as it hereby supports, Senate Bill No. 2987 or the “Bigger Pie, Bigger Slice Bill,” which seeks to increase the local government’s share in national taxes and enhance the city’s capacity in the delivery of essential public services.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF BARANGAY NEW CABALAN TO OPERATE A MINI FAIR WITHIN ITS JURISDICTION SUBJECT TO THE PRESCRIBED GUIDELINES OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD

WHEREAS,  carnivals and mini fairs established in conjunction with fiestas are good income generating means to fund projects for good causes;

WHEREAS, Barangay New Cabalan requested permission to operate a mini fair within its jurisdiction in time for the celebration of their patron saint and annual barangay fiesta;

WHEREAS,  the Sangguniang Panlungsod hereby grants the request of Barangay New Cabalan with the condition that the preparation and operation of a mini fair shall be in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 49, Series of 2005 and upon the compliance with the recommendations set by the same;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of  City Councilor Carlito A. Baloy, with the unanimous accord of the Members  of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to approve, as it hereby approves the request of Barangay New Cabalan to operate a Mini Fair within its  jurisdiction subject to the prescribed guidelines of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
