RESOLUTION NO. 146

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GORDON COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION NO. 16, SERIES OF 2014 ENTITLED: “RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF THE AFFILIATION OF GORDON COLLEGE WITH MARIVELES MENTAL HOSPITAL”

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod deems proper that the Resolution No. 16 endorsed by Gordon College Board of Trustees pursuant to City Resolution No. 70, Series of 2012 is necessary for adoption;

WHEREAS, the students were required to undertake Nursing Care Management training as per Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum No. 30, Series of 1998 and CHED Memorandum No. 14, Series of 2009 and the Philippine Regulations Commission (PRC) – Board of Nursing focusing on maladaptive;

WHEREAS, the renewal of the affiliation of Gordon College with Mariveles Mental Hospital will benefit the students of Bachelor of Science in Nursing of the College for their above stated requirement;

WHEREAS, the abovementioned Board Resolution is necessary to carry out the purposes and functions of Gordon College;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Benjamin G. Cajudo II, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to adopt, as it hereby adopts the Gordon College Board of Trustees Resolution No. 16, Series of 2014. entitled: “Resolution Approving The Renewal Of The Affiliation Of Gordon College With Mariveles Mental Hospital”.

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that copy of the Gordon College Board of Trustees Resolution No. 16, Series of 2014 be made as integral parts of this Resolution.

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GORDON COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION NO. 15, SERIES OF 2014 ENTITLED: “RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF THE AFFILIATION OF GORDON COLLEGE WITH PHILIPPINE ORTHOPEDIC CENTER”

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod deems proper that the Resolution No. 15 endorsed by Gordon College Board of Trustees pursuant to City Resolution No. 106, Series of 2011 is necessary for adoption;

WHEREAS, the renewal of their affiliation agreement to allow Gordon College students to use designated Philippine Orthopedic Center Training and Learning facilities;

WHEREAS, the need to renew the affiliation of Gordon College with Philippine Orthopedic Center will help the students taking up Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Gordon College in acquiring their Related Learning Experience (RLE);

WHEREAS, the abovementioned Board Resolution is necessary to carry out the purposes and functions of Gordon College;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Benjamin G. Cajudo II, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLUTION NO. 90

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HON. CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON JR. TO ENTER, EXECUTE AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR THE RENEWAL OF THE AFFILIATION AGREEMENT WITH STA. CECILIA MEDICAL CENTER, IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, the Sta. Cecilia Medical Center (SCMC) is a Certified Level II Hospital existing under and by virtue of the laws of the Philippines, with principal address at National Road, Palanginan, Iba, Zambales, represented herein by its Hospital Administrator, Dr. Adonis M. Calaycay and its Medical Director, Dr. Gregorio A. Cabacar;

WHEREAS, the Sta. Cecilia Medical Center (SCMC) has an affiliation agreement with the City of Olongapo which has already expired and must be renewed to ensure the continuation of cooperative relationship and referral system with the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital to improve patient services and achieve quality patient outcomes based on equity, efficiency and cost-effectiveness with a view of improving exchange of patient clinical information flow between the two medical facilities;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Edna A. Elane, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it is hereby authorizes, the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to Enter, Execute and Sign a Memorandum of Agreement for the Renewal of the Affiliation Agreement with the Sta. Cecilia Medical Center, in a Manner Consistent with Law.
