A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GORDON COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION NO. 17, SERIES OF 2014 ENTITLED: “RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN GORDON COLLEGE AND THE PEARL S. BUCK FOUNDATION – PHILIPPINES (PSBP) INC. FOR TUTORIAL PROGRAM”

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod deems proper that the Resolution No. 16 endorsed by Gordon College Board of Trustees pursuant to City Resolution No. 104, Series of 2012 is necessary for adoption;

WHEREAS, the Pearl S. Buck Foundation- Philippines (PSBP) expressed their intention in renewing the Memorandum of Agreement for a Tutorial Program with Gordon College for two consecutive academic years;

WHEREAS, PSBP will conduct a tutorial program for more than 200 sponsored children in Olongapo, Subic and Zambales and to be implemented through National Service Training Program (NSTP) students enrolled under the Literacy Training Service which is offered by the College every Second Semester of the Academic Year;

WHEREAS, the aforementioned Board Resolution is necessary to carry out the purposes and functions of Gordon College;

 NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Benjamin G. Cajudo II, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to adopt, as it hereby adopts the Gordon College Board of Trustees Resolution No. 17, Series of 2014, entitled: “Resolution Approving  The Renewal Of The Memorandum Of Agreement Between Gordon College And The Pearl S. Buck Foundation – Philippines (PSBP) Inc. For Tutorial Program”

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that copy of the Gordon College Board of Trustees Resolution No. 17,  Series of 2014 be made as integral parts of this Resolution.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE ROLEN C. PAULINO TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN THE RENEWAL OF THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR AND ON BEHALF OF OLONGAPO CITY WITH THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE CRIME LABORATORY (PNPCL), REPRESENTED BY ITS DIRECTOR, POLICE CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT LIZA M. SABONG FOR THE OPERATION OF THE OLONGAPO CITY CRIME LABORATORY

WHEREAS, the City believes that the Police Force needs to be equipped with the best technology and forensic services in line with their investigative works, which are highly significant in the prompt solution and containment of crimes;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod deems it imperative that the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory (PNPCL), in the City of Olongapo can provide the technical support, scientific analysis, examination and findings of evidences needed by examiners in line with the investigations conducted for crime solution;

WHEREAS, the renewal of the said agreement to be entered into and sign by the Local Chief Executive on behalf of the City and the PNPCL for the implementation as well as the assurance that such technical and forensic support are delivered is indeed necessary;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Alreuela M. Bundang-Ortiz, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the  Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor, Honorable Rolen C. Paulino to enter into and sign the renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement for and on behalf of Olongapo City with the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory (PNPCL), represented by its Director, Police Chief Superintendent Liza M. Sabong for the operation of the Olongapo City Crime Laboratory.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR.

TO ENTER, EXECUTE AND SIGN THE REQUISITE RENEWAL OF THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE MARIVELES MENTAL HOSPITAL FOR THE ON-THE-JOB TRAINING OF GORDON COLLEGE STUDENTS, IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, there is a need for a memorandum of agreement to facilitate the compliance of Gordon college students with respect to their “On-the-Job-Training” (‘OJT’) requirements;

WHEREAS, Gordon College students enrolled in medical courses would benefit from undergoing actual training with medical institutions such as the Mariveles Mental Hospital in terms of enhanced skills in handling a various array of patients;

WHEREAS, there is a need for a renewal of the already expired Memorandum of Agreement with the Mariveles Mental Hospital;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Eyrma Yvette Marzan-Estrella, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present; 

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungosd in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter, execute and sign the requisite renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement with the Mariveles Mental Hospital for on-the-job training of Gordon College students, in a manner consistent with law.

A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE RENEWAL OF APPOINTMENT OF MR. DANTE P. RAMOS, AS CITY GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT HEAD II,SG-26 UNDER THE ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION AND MANAGEMENT OFFICE (ESMO)


WHEREAS, the City Mayor has appointed Mr. Dante P. Ramos as City Government Department Head II, Environmental Sanitation and Management Office (ESMO) pursuant to Civil Service Laws, Rules and Regulations;

WHEREAS, Section 454(d) of Republic Act 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, provides that heads of departments shall be appointed by the City Mayor with the concurrence of the majority of all Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Gina G. Perez, with the majority decision of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to confirm, as it hereby confirms the appointment of Mr. Dante P. Ramos as City Government Department Head II, SG-26 under the Environmental Sanitation and Management Office (ESMO) which effects the appropriation in the amount of Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Two Pesos (PhP270,252.00) to the item City Government Department Head II under the account “Salaries” of the Environmental Sanitation and Management Office (ESMO).

RESOLVED FURTHER, AS IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this Resolution be furnished MR. DANTE P. RAMOS and the Civil Service Commission thru the Personnel Office of the City of Olongapo for their information and reference.
