A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, J. TO ENTER, EXECUTE AND SIGN THE AFFILIATION AGREEMENT WITH LYCEUM OF SUBIC BAY, INC. (COLLEGE) IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH LAW

WHEREAS, the Lyceum of Subic Bay, Inc. is an educational institution with students enrolled in medical courses who are required to undergo on-the-job training or internship requirements of actual immersion to medical service;

WHEREAS, the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital is a tertiary medical facility which, as assessed by Lyceum of Subic Bay, Inc. is equipped with the necessary facilities that would assist in the development and training of its students to become competent and prepared for a future career in medical service;

NOW, THEREFORE, on joint motion of City Councilors Eyrma Yvette Marzan-Estrella and Edna Elane, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present.

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter, execute, and sign the affiliation agreement with Lyceum of Subic Bay, Inc. (College) in a manner consistent with law.

A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) ENTERED BY AND BETWEEN THE OLONGAPO CITY HEALTH OFFICE REPRESENTED BY THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR JAMES GORDON, JR. AND LYCEUM SUBIC BAY REPRESENTED BY ITS PRESIDENT AND CEO, ALFONSO E. BORDA FOR THE TRAINING OF ITS NURSING STUDENTS IN FULFILLMENT OF THEIR COURSE REQUIREMENTS

WHEREAS, the City Council unanimously passed Resolution No. 105, Series of 2009 authorizing the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by and between the Olongapo City Health Office and Lyceum Subic Bay represented by its President and CEO, Alfonso E. Borda for the training of its Nursing Students in fulfillment of their course requirements;

WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to ratify the said Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to herald its execution;

NOW, THEREFORE, upon joint motion of Councilors Angelito W. Baloy and Jonathan G. Manalo with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to ratify, as it hereby ratifies the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) entered by and between the Olongapo City Health Office represented by the Honorable City Mayor James Gordon, Jr. and Lyceum Subic Bay represented by its President and CEO, Alfonso E. WHEREAS, cognizant of the benefits of the proposal, this august body considers it favorable to bestow authority to the Local Chief Executive to participate in such undertaking;

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE LYCEUM OF SUBIC BAY AND THE EXAMINEES WHO PASSED IN THE RECENT LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR CUSTOMS BROKERS FOR THEIR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE THAT LANDED IN THE TOP POSITIONS GIVEN BY THE PROFESSIONAL REGULATORY COMMISSION LAST OCTOBER 28-29,2008

WHEREAS, the Lyceum Of Subic Bay examinees successfully passed the licensure examination for Customs Brokers given by the Professional Regulatory Commission last October 28-29, 2008;

WHEREAS, the City Government Of Olongapo is encouraging the youth to excel in their own field of endeavors;

WHEREAS, City Government Of Olongapo signifies its intention to help, support and motivate the youth for their academic excellence;

WHEREAS, these students reaped honors not only for themselves, but as well as for their families and ultimately for the city, thus, this body recognizes their achievements with great pride and high esteem:
