A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE ROLEN C. PAULINO TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN THE DEED OF DONATION WITH THE VICTORY LINER, INC. REPRESENTED BY ITS PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER, JOHNNY T. HERNANDEZ AS REGARDS TO THE PASSENGER

BUS DONATED BY THE AFORESAID COMPANY

            WHEREAS,  the City gladly welcomes and appreciates the second bus donation from one of its staunch community partners, Victory Liner, Inc.. The said bus will indeed help augment the growing need to optimize and deliver a variety of social services redounding to the greater benefit of the people of Olongapo;

            WHEREAS,  Victory Liner, Inc. owns one (1) unit of passenger bus for transportation activities/services, which they intend to donate, in response to the needs of the times, all for goodwill and fidelity to the people of Olongapo;

            NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilor Benjamin G. Cajudo, II, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor, Honorable Rolen C. Paulino to enter into and sign the Deed of Donation with the Victory Liner, Inc. represented by its President and General Manager, Johnny F. Hernandez as regards to the passenger bus donated by the aforesaid company,

 LEVEL OF TEACHERS FROM SALARY GRADE 11 TO 19”

            WHEREAS, on July 1, 2013, Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara sponsored a bill seeking to upgrade the minimum salary grade level of teachers from salary grade 11 to 19;

            WHEREAS, teachers have a vital role in our society considering that they impart knowledge and their influence affects eternity;

            WHEREAS, public school teachers are among the most underpaid workers given their workload, rendering their time even beyond the normal working hours compared to an ordinary employee;

            WHEREAS, our country has lost many good teachers who opted to teach abroad due to the relatively low salary they received;

            NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of City Councilors Alreuela M. Bundang-Ortiz  and Benjamin G. Cajudo, II, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,

            RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled to express, as it hereby expresses its support to Senate Bill No. 61 sponsored by Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” M. Angara entitled: “An Act Upgrading The Minimum Salary Grade Level Of Teachers From Salary Grade 11 to 19”.
